Thanksgiving

We are blessed so that we may, in turn, be a blessing to others.

The holidays provide a unique opportunity for us to connect deeply with our community. This holiday season, we are inviting you to come and share your heart at CityLink.

Our CityLink Outreach Ministry provides many opportunities for you to be the hands and feet of Jesus. A wonderful way to celebrate our Thanksgiving holiday is by blessing others who might not otherwise be able to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal. We are now collecting food items that will be used to create meals for us to give to these families.

If you’d like to help, please bring your food items to the designated pick-up areas:

  • Fontana Campus* – Before and after services on the Concourse and in the Main Family Lobby (across from the Worship Center).
  • Administration Offices on Miller Ave. from 9:00-4:30pm Monday – Friday. (November 2nd – 13th)
  • CityLink Food Warehouse (16815 Spring St, Fontana, 92335) from 9:00am-4:00pm Monday-Wednesday and Friday 9:00am-12:00pm. (November 2nd – 13th)

 

We will be collecting November 1st, 7th, 8th, 14th* & 15th* at the Fontana campus during church services.

*Will collect turkeys on this date

Food items needed:

TURKEY
Boxed Stuffing
Marshmallows
Boxed Mashed Potatoes
Packets of Gravy (dry mix)
Canned Cranberry
Canned Corn
Canned Green Beans
Canned Yam/Sweet Potatoes

 *Please note that we need 1,000 total of each item

You may also donate gift cards or make cash donations payable to WOL. If you make a cash donation, please write “Thanksgiving Food Basket Outreach” in the note section.

Additional Ways to Get Involved:

At our Pack & Praise event, you’ll be able to prepare our Thanksgiving meals for distribution. The event will be held on Sunday, November 15th from 3:00pm-6:00pm.

On Distribution Day, you’ll be able to bless families by providing their meals, praying with them and more. The event will be held on Thursday, November 19th at 10:00am until supplies last (please arrive no later than 9:30am).

Senior Thanksgiving Food Basket Delivery will also be on Thursday, November 19th, please arrive no later than 9:30am.

Would you like to receive a Thanksgiving Food Basket?

Individuals within the community will be able to receive a Thanksgiving Food Basket without registration, on a first come, first served basis.

REQUIREMENTS ARE:

  • Must bring a valid form of I.D.
  • Wear a face mask
  • Remain in your vehicle

 

Only one (1) food basket will be distributed per family.
